Ho to Revert Back to 17.7.1 Amd Drivers

Hi,

There are different possible reasons as to why the framerate of your games is very low after the Creators update was installed. This could be related to the compatibility of the device drivers or device drivers that need to be updated. Since you mentioned that you attempted several troubleshooting steps that include reinstalling the device drivers and using the different version, we suggest that you go back to a previous version of Windows which can be done by doing a rollback in Windows 10.

For us to resolve your concern, kindly refer to the steps below to go back to an earlier build of Windows 10:

1. Press the Windows key + I to open Settings. Select the Update & security, then choose Recovery.
2. Under Recovery you will see the section "Go back to an earlier build", select the option "Get started".
3. A message will now show up saying "Getting things ready, This won't take long".

Once everything is complete, your computer will restart and you will be taken back to your old build. Take note that the time period you have depends on what version of Windows 10 your PC is running after the upgrade. For example, if your PC is running Windows 10 Version 1511, you have one month to go back to a previous version. If your PC is running Windows 10 Version 1607 or later, you have 10 days to go back.

Thank you for replay, but I do not have that option, as the other Recovery/Backup options are somehow erased. Just a print screen as proof. Maybe, Reset this PC? Thank you.

Thanks for providing screenshots regarding what options you saw were available under the recovery menu. Since the to option to do a rollback is not longer present, this may be caused that the timeframe is outside of the maximum number of days allowed for a rollback. We suggest that you do uninstall and remove any remnant files of the current graphics card driver you have and then download the latest device driver from the manufacturer's website. Doing this will allow us to check if any of the recent updates and the latest device driver has corrected the issue.

Hello. I complied your suggestion. I must say, I saw no great improvements on fps (still around max. 20). It's annoying driving at this low fps, as respond time is very low and crash/accident are inevitable ! So, I was wondering: if I buy another SSD (SATA III, those like flat and rectangular), cheapest, and install Windows 8.1 (unlicensed!) with the best/proper driver and disable all updates, should I expect better performance in games? Of course, I will use Windows 10 Pro x64 (on my M2 SSD) as I did before, but not for gaming, unfortunately. Thank you.

Hello again. I'm very sorry for my late respond, but it took me days and night to find a ''cure'' to my issue. I've tried latest driver version, previous driver version, even the version via Windows Update, nothing worked. So, I was thinking: how about trying with different Windows version? I have a SSD (250 GB) with Windows 10 Pro (Licensed) and an internal HDD (1 TB) as Storage. Plus, an external HDD (1 TB, USB 3.0). I backed up all the stuff from internal HDD to external HDD, formatted, made 2 partitions (250 GB with Windows 8.1 UNLICENSED + 750 GB as Storage) and the magic happened! Of course, I disabled update and installed Radeon Software Version 17.4.4 and I'm happy now! So, from now on, if I want to play, I simply set Boot option from BIOS. Unfortunately, I can't do this from Windows, as the two versions are installed in two different hardware. Have a lovely day. :)
